life

 Well as my friends list gets fatter and fatter,
I'm having to delve deeply into that gray matter.
I'm finding friends I haven't seen in decades,

    From the rock of ages,
To the sands of time.
Theologists and Geologists,
Cannot find a rhyme.
Let's look in the cradles,
Not in the tombs.

   Here's a little story for you,
My father was in the Philippines in World War Two.
He said it was such a war-torn nation.
From the terrible Japanese occupation.

    Every day we look at things large and small short and tall,
which of these things speak most of all.
Planets and galaxies, universes and atoms,

     All we hear from science is absolute after absolute,
but if 'Change' is the only constant that does not compute.
Concepts and theories and mathematical codes,

       Did you ever have one of those days,
when you wanted to rest and your kids ran astray.
It's funny they say you spend two years teaching them to walk and talk,

    There are professors that can't change a tire on a car,
There are mechanics that can't calculate the death of a star.
There are mathematicians that cannot eat meat,

    Live, love, learn, and leave.

  I went to the greenhouse and saw Geraniums in bloom,
it was a sign that the warm summer was coming soon.
They had lots of other flowers there for sale,

I have people who tell me how to create my reality,
and try to tell me what YouTube's I need to see.
They try to tell me what walk to walk,
