Surrender

May 8, 1945
On this day in history there's a story to tell
about World War Two and those who survived Hell.
The Allied countries of World War II formally accepted Germany's unconditional surrender.
They had banded together and became all the oppressed of the worlds defender.
Many of these great soldiers have long since been gone.
And there's only a handful that still tag along.
But to you Brave strong living World War Two Veterans that are still alive.
I want to salute you for your sacrifices that helped our freedoms survive...
