The Sleeping Self

Time after time the visions we keep,
don't let us know that we are asleep.
Asleep to reality the endless dream,
that holds things of beauty and infinite things.
The things we worship like silver or gold,
aren't nearly as priceless as a story that's told.
A story that resonates deep in your mind,
and allows the answers you wished to find.
Socrates said one cannot be taught,
he could only be reminded on what he's forgot.
They play with numbers and atoms and things,
it's so easy to see how the universe sings.
Just close your eyes and stretch out your hands,
and you'll feel the beauty of its infinite plan.
Vibrations and frequencies are the only key,
whether you're building an atom bomb or counting to three.
So stop running and running and going nowhere,
stand still, be patient and the answer will be there.
