I'm alive now and the old poets are dead,
their words are in books that I haven't read.
The things that they said are considered the best,
but, a poem is a poem there isn't a test.
Some of mine don't rhyme and some of them do,
judge them as you will as I share them with you.
If you're searching for the old popular designs,
then reading my poems will be wasting your time.
I write to relax and I write for fun,
it occupies my mind where my demons do run.
My mind never shuts off, it's in a race I can't win,
the Seroquel I take is my closest friend.
It closes my lids and shuts off my dreams,
and takes away the sweats and Hellish screams.
In this drug-induced and controlled reality I live,
just a poem now and then is the most I can give.
