Riding The Pendulum

Every minute and every second of each day,
there's one application in our minds we all play.
After you read this you'll see my realization,
that each of our lives is guided by Sensation.
Sensations of Love, sensations of living,
sensations of greed or happily giving.
Soon it will be the New Year's time,
will we have any new sensations to find?
Or will it be like so many years before,
absent of love, and with stories of war?
War is so costly, and Peace comes free,
why is this so hard for humanity to see?
So when the bell rings and it's New Year time,
let's pray the world finds a more loving design.
A design that's fit from your birth to your death,
with "I love my fellow man" as your last words of breath.
