PTSD'S Wrath

PTSDs Wrath
How many dead do you have to see?
Before the trauma leaves you with PTSD.
I saw quite a few of my brothers and sisters who fell
and then slipped into a world filled with torment and Hell.
Not one time before that did I have a run in with the police.
And I lived with my wife and kids in happiness and peace.
But when I got home from the job I volunteered to do.
I ended up in pain and torment I never knew.
Many of nights I'd sit drunk with a loaded rifle in my hand.
Thinking that killing myself would be my best plan.
A plan to end the pain and all the gore I had seen from the dead.
That I had taken ownership for which tormented my head.
Luckily in my case I went and sought help for the actions I would do.
If I had not I would have ended up listed with the other 22s.
I'm writing this testimonial for my fellow comrades in pain.
Don't let PTSD take your life for it's links in a lethal chain.
I've talked with many people who lost someone to this deadly wrath.
That had tried or considered taking the same path.
