If you need emergency assistance in the United States, call Suicide Prevention at (800) 273-8255 or the Veterans Crisis Line at (855) 238-5745. Otherwise call 911 or your local emergency number.

For my personal views dealing with suicide which I have called SE (Self Execution) please read and share my book if you believe it can help others. Download The Survivor's Guide to Self Execution right now!

This is a specially formatted version of the Survivor's Guide for PDF readers so you can read it on almost any device. Check your app store for a free PDF reader.

It is also available in paperback at Amazon.com. Buy one for a friend (especially one without a computer or cell phone!).

Pixels

Pixels
How many of your friends are just pixels on a screen?
And you've only met in the social media scene.
So many get attached to some they'll never meet
and wouldn't know them if they met on the street.
There are some that use video chat or voice
but texting is mostly a predominate choice.
Personally I hate texting as a way to communicate
it lacks life and emotions plus makes others irate.
I don't know how many times someone has said what did you say?
it was because when they read it it came out the wrong way.
Then because of misunderstanding you almost have to write a book
to explain your original message that they mistook.
A thumbs up or smileys have replaced communication
seriously don't these cause you frustration.
The written word has beauty, power and connection
and it is best used for proper reflection.
So let's try and use social media to its greatest extent
and put a little more effort in the messages sent.
Then your pixel friends who seem so far away
might feel inclined to meet you in person one day...
