My Father's Words and Mine

One day in March he did arrive.

Unfortunately, life he did not survive.

Now he watches over me

in a never-ending celestial sea.

He’s not the skipper or the bosun’s mate.

Yet, he held the key to own his chosen fate.

He wanted nothing and had very little.

His life was often a confusing riddle.

Hopefully one day humanity will see

the beautiful mankind we all could be.

This is what my father always said,

“It’s not all about the books you have read.

You won’t find the answers in books or the bibles.

I see some religions nothing more than all tribal.

The only right text about life for you, my son,

is the one that brings happiness to the life that you run.”

(My View)

I will never attack someone’s book that they read

as being incorrect and this is my creed.

If you find strength in the verses you love,

don’t tell them to people who don’t wear same glove.

The worse thing one could do about their belief system

is try to teach it to people who don’t want to listen.

If you're happy with the belief system that you’re in

enjoy all it’s beauty and don’t worry about sin.
