Lies come easy and are simple to tell,

fabricating the truth comes from a much deeper well.

Yet, when you dip the pure water of truth,

it will nourish your soul and sustain your youth.

The lies that man uses in a chain of deceit,

often leaves him labeled as a liar and cheat.

You have only two things when you enter this realm,

your name and your honor are at the peak of your helm.

If you tarnish either one of these treasures,

Then every word you say will be up for measure.
