Christmas Eve
This is the Eve of that one special night.
When Santa does come with gifts of delight.
Tomorrow they'll be grabbed from under the tree.
By children with wide eyes and hearts pounding free.
Well this is the story for the general family.
But then theirs some that can't have a tree.
Neither a tree or any presents to be found,
along with some loved ones that are not around.
Some have passed on and some in the desert they stay.
Trying to defend the American way.
So if you open your presents quite large or quite small.
Remember that "freedom" should be a gift for us all.
Take a moment to say a blessing for all of mankind,
and pray that "Peace on Earth" will be the path that we find...
