Ascension
On one sleepy glorious night,
there was a Dragonfly in my sight.
It's wings were orange and it's body was blue.
Together it made a beautiful hue,
I believe It came as spiritual insight.
As I watched it drifting in flight.
It may have been a loved one that has moved on,
Or an enlightened being that has long since been gone.
I know I wasn't dreaming this magical sight,
and I was in awe as I watched it in flight.
Now any time I see a Dragonfly,
I take a deep breath and look towards the sky.
I know that one day I will too take flight.
Just like my beautiful Dragonfly that night.
