Slumbering

My dreams are too real, unreal, or not real enough,
in some I'm afraid and in others I'm tough.
As soon as I close my eyes I see people in other places,
but very seldom if ever do they have any faces.
Horror and misery and dreams of delight,
beautiful Angels and demons I fight.
Eyes elude me there's no souls to see,
sometimes I'm trapped and cannot get free.
I've became conscious in a dream then found I was still asleep,
the layers of my dreams can be shallow or deep.
The best quotation about dreams that I believe I ever did see,
Was Crazy Horse said: "When I die I'm going to dream myself back to reality".
