So many wonder why a soldier on active duty
Doesn't mention they might have PTSD.
There are several reasons at hand
for the Brave who serve our land.
Like being labeled as unstable or unfit to serve
and fear they won't get the care or pension they deserve.
For some it's a way to support their family
and if they were discharged because of PTSD
and there weren't anymore paychecks to see.
The burden they'd bare from this all alone
would make a service member want his condition unknown.
So you see there's lots of factors that come into play.
About keeping a PTSD condition secretly tucked away.
