Reuse

The written document might always be the best source of Information.
In a country where computers have fell off the grid for their nation.
I've heard they have thoughts of taking Newspapers away.
I'm sure they have lots of ecological reasons they say.
Like it will save billions of trees in our forest lands.
But if you look at the life of a forest there can be a plan.
Forests are like gardens on a much larger scale.
and old growth timber tops cast a large veil.
Leaving almost no light for vegetation below,
for new trees and plants to thrive and to grow.
Everything we do to our ecology,
with proper planning there's a right path to see.
There's clear cuts for timber and selective designs,
that leave a nice forest standing behind.
I was told by a forester a clear cut puts more oxygen in the air.
From the new trees and vegetation growing there.
Well back to Newspapers and their benefits,
Like I said above when I began this poem,
Newspapers can always reach a person's home.
Not counting all of their other uses that we forget,
Like wrapping your belongings, or training your pet.
Or washing your windows and crafts of all kinds.
Or swatting that fly whens there's no swatter to find.
When I was a teen those paper drives in school were fun.
We'd have a big bonfire after all of the work was done.
Laughing and joking with all of our friends,
sending back the papers to be recycled again.
Well that was the 70's this is two thousand and twelve now.
Maybe we need to reclaim some of the past traditions somehow.
Recycling should be every nation's largest campaign,
to insure we have a healthy planet to always remain.
