Life is short and sometimes not so sweet,
if you're stuck with a partner that tries to defeat.
There shouldn't be a battle between two people that truly care,
they should just understand when it's time to go elsewhere.
If you've gathered children during years of bliss,
always work together for things the kids won't miss.
Broken homes are empty and often children are forgot,
they could be more fruitful with a little sincere thought.
He did this, and she did that, often children hear,
yet how you once were lovers never meets their ear.
I have several exes and I've made some mistakes,
I have grandchildren I've never seen, what a pain it makes.
You never know the things that you'll really miss,
until you have children with lips you can't kiss.
