The flux

Should I write couplets, double rhymes, or free verse?
I think the poem should decide without a lyrical nurse.
So many try to force each word and every letter,
these are the poems that couldn't be deader.
Most poems should live and run free,
filling the reader with energy.
These are the poems that people will read to the end,
and not look how many lines they contain within.
Even painful poems have something to share,
their written in hopes you won't end up there.
So whether your poems come from you or the four winds,
poetry has often a beautiful message to send.
