Why does my Dad treat me so bad?
I love him so much but he makes me so sad.
Often in my life he's verbally abused me, hit me and so often I've cried.
But when I bring it up to him he swears I have lied.
Finally one night I made that big step to leave
and be away from his screams and his gift to deceive.
I had to take my daughter away from him, we had to get free.
Now I'm with my Mom in my home town in serenity.
Yes the trauma still haunts me from time to time.
But with support from my family and loved ones I know I'll be fine.
I've called him my Dad ever since I could talk,
and I'm starting to see the real him since I made that hard walk.
Slowly his abuse is becoming a less bother
and he's still my Dad but will never be a Father!
