Beating the Brown Bottles Keep that brown bottle away from me, the barley and hops don't come for free. It's messed with my liver, my job, and my life, and left me living in a world full of strife. Yes I'm an alcoholic I proudly can say, now that I know this I live the right way. Life's so simple when you live one day at a time, and it's not consumed by Beer, Whiskey, or Wine. Keep that brown bottle away from me, the barley and hops don't come for free. It's been a long journey to get where I'm at, that first steps the hardest when you take off your hat. My Higher Power helps keep me free, and you won't find any spirits inside of me. Yes I had some good times back in the day, but too much alcohol made it no longer play. Oh I could tell you woe, after woe, my life fell apart and the booze had to go. Keep that brown bottle away from me, the barley and hops don't come for free. Now my sponsor and I have a great time, and if I'm troubled I can call on his dime. They've gave me a coin I cannot spend, but it marks the day my drinking did end. I keep it in my pocket each and every day, and it helps me to remember to live the right way. If you're having trouble with drinking my friends, Alcoholics Anonymous could be where it ends.
